Movin’ on up (to real offices)

Feb 17, 2011   //   by Alex   //   Blog  //  No Comments
6 months ago, we posted some pictures of our home office and while we were really excited to have such a fun and dedicated work environment, the fact is that it had its limitations.  Our seating was getting to be a precious commodity with a now mostly full-time contractor (our first intern) and we found ourselves always going out for meetings because we just didn’t have any place to host them ourselves.

All of that’s in the past now as we’ve just wrapped up our first week working in the David All Group‘s office in downtown DC.  They’ve been a client of ours for around 6 months now and we’ve had a great time working with them.  We hope that the good times keep rolling once they learn of our midday video game habits and penchant for cereal but for now, we’re very excited.

Pictures will be coming soon in a later post.

Moving into a new office

There comes a time in every company’s history when working from a laptop on the kitchen table is no longer the best way to do business, and I’m excited to say that day has come for The Duke & the Duck. Taking advantage of Dave’s move to DC, we thought it would make sense to turn one of the bedrooms of our townhouse into a dedicated workspace and I must say that so far, so good.

Here are some pictures:

There’s a big empty wall across from the desks that we’ve been thinking about turning into a giant white board, or maybe an area for our contractor folks to come in and work, but we’ll have to see how that goes. I for one would like to put up a giant (8 ft. tall) Duke & the Duck logo.
