Explanatory Videos

Nielsen Research says that the average time spent on a new website is 56 seconds, which means that it is important to grab people’s attention right off the bat with a video.  We specialize in distilling complex topics into quick, easy-to-understand, and engaging animated videos that would be perfect for your product, service or cause.

Take a look at some of our past explanatory videos and get in touch with us to talk about how to turn your story into an animation that people will love to watch.  Still not sold on the importance of video?  Check out our Why Video? page to learn more about why you need to get in on the hottest trend on the web.

“How Neon Works”

Long a favorite of people who have viewed our portfolio, this piece was put together as an educational video that never really got traction with the schools we marketed it to.  Fortunately this animated explanation of how neon lights work was given a new lease on life when it was picked up in October 2010 as part of a traveling art/science exhibit called “In the Glow: The Science Behind the Art of Neon.”

“Climate Change & International Development”

The video below was commissioned by the Climate Change & Development Program at the World Bank to make the case that climate change & international development are inextricably linked.  Read more about it in this blog post, where you can also see the other three animations we created for the World Bank.

“Introducing Data Cookbook”

Data Cookbook is a reporting application for schools and universities.  This is a pretty typical corporate explanatory video in that it quickly lays out the features and benefits of their software and (hopefully) compels the audience to want to learn more about the product.  We’ve done a couple of other animations like this, including one for Quinnian Health and one (in Spanish) for VidaNet, a mobile health program in Mexico.

“Why You Need a Video on Your Website”

This is a very different video that anything else we’ve done.  First of all, we did it in a little over a full day, just to see if we could.  This video quickly gets to the point of what we wanted to say—why we think you need a video on your website.  The style is deliberately simple but the message is clear, contact us today!
