We didn’t quite get it together soon enough to go last year but I’m really excited to be going and I’m looking forward to making some great connections and learning as much as I can. If anyone has any tips about getting the most out of the experience I’d be happy to hear them. If you’re going to be there too I’d love to meet you for a beer and/or some of the delicious Austin BBQ I’ve heard so much about.
I’ll be tweeting from @dukeandtheduck and @alexherder so send me a tweet or follow along. If you’re going to be in Austin too, let’s meet up. It’ll be fun! If you haven’t seen it and want a quick laugh, this video is a funny guide to how to be “South by South BEST.”
Did you know that there are nearly three times as many captive tigers in the US (~10,000) as there are in the wild (~3,500)? Or that a wild tiger on the black market is worth up to $50,000? We certainly didn’t, at least not until we started work on this video for the Global Tiger Initiative.
